why physioelements?
PhysioElements was built around one principle: treat the whole system, not just symptoms. We blend evidence-based physical therapy with Pilates and wellness tools so you can move with more ease, balance, and confidence.
history:
Nara Yoon defines herself as a “creative soul in a scientific world”. After years of working at various insurance-based orthopedic practices in the Tri-state area, Nara founded PhysioElements in 2014 out of a desire to see clients in an entirely different way other than the typical one-dimensional treatment offered by the vast majority of PT practices. These insurance-based practices fail to offer individualized treatment specific to the needs of each client. With PhysioElements, Nara decided to establish a practice where each client would be seen in the most effective way, and the way they deserve to be seen-- one at a time, getting the clinician’s full attention without any assistants or aides, and with a treatment regimen specifically tailored to each client’s needs.
For the first few years, Nara was a true solo practitioner as well as the front desk person, marketer, biller, and social media poster. PhysioElements then moved into its current location at 1615 Northern Blvd location in November of 2016 and has quickly grown and expanded not only in size, but also in the ever-evolving offerings to its clients, all the while maintaining its commitment to comprehensive, individualized care.
name and brick and mortar logo:
The name PhysioElements comes from the knowledge that there are many elements necessary to keep one’s body “healthy.” The definition of “Health” defined by the WHO in 1948 is: a state of “complete” physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. The most current definition of “Health” is: the ability to adapt and self-manage when individuals face physical, mental, and social challenges. (BMJ 2011: 343) We strive to provide those elements or partner with the appropriate professionals who may provide those needs to help a person maintain their health in the best possible way.
our foundation:
Our small logo is a reimagining of the Greek letter “Phi” (Φ); the symbol of the Golden Ratio and nature’s perfect balance. Nara selected the smaller, asymmetrical form of Phi to represent individuality and uniqueness. This symbol reflects our philosophy: everything is connected, and well-being is found not in isolated parts, but in the natural flow that connects movement, healing, and life itself. We aim to guide each person toward their own unique path to personal harmony, and this journey begins with a deep dive into #whatmovesyou. We prioritize the exploration of both internal and external drivers, recognizing that determining a truly meaningful task is a fundamental and necessary step to guide all effective care.
