physical therapy in Manhasset and Greenwich that finds the root of your symptoms
SSOL and BSPTS Schroth scoliosis training, SEAS certification, Herman & Wallace pelvic floor expertise, the Integrated Systems Model, and board certification in orthopedics. Every method serves a single philosophy: #whatmovesyou. The answer shapes every session.
An Assessment Shaped by Many Disciplines, Guided by What Moves You
Most physical therapy practices choose a lane. A scoliosis-only clinic. An orthopedic clinic. A pelvic floor clinic. Each can be excellent within its scope, and the depth of single-method expertise is real.
PhysioElements built something different. Our clinicians hold advanced credentials across multiple disciplines, and one philosophy holds the whole arsenal together: #whatmovesyou.
The training behind every evaluation includes
Scoliosis & Spine Online Learning (SSOL) certification, including a SSOL Schroth Educator on staff
Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS) method at the highest credential tiers (BSPTS-1 and BSPTS-2)
Scientific Exercises Approach to Scoliosis (SEAS) certification at Levels 1 and 2, developed by the Italian Scientific Spine Institute (ISICO)
Integrated Systems Model (ISM) training under LJ Lee and Diane Lee, which treats the body as a connected system rather than a collection of regions
Movement Links training under Dr. Clare Frank, PT, DPT, MS, OCS, FAAOMPT
Herman & Wallace Pelvic Health Education for prenatal, postpartum, diastasis, and incontinence care
Pilates training applied to both wellness and clinical rehabilitation
Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy (OCS), the American Physical Therapy Association's specialty designation
What this means in practice is simple. Your evaluation begins with a deep look at what you are trying to get back to: the activity, the role, the life. That answer determines which lens the assessment opens with and which tools come into your sessions. A runner with hip pain, an adolescent with scoliosis, and a postpartum client with low back pain each receive a fully different evaluation, drawn from the same integrated training arsenal.
This is the reason clients tell us, often within the first visit, that the experience feels different from what they expected.

Conditions We Specialize In
Each specialty below opens into a full clinical breakdown. The summaries here give you a sense of who we treat and what we are credentialed to deliver.
Scoliosis and Spine Physical Therapy
PhysioElements holds one of the deepest concentrations of Schroth-certified clinicians in the Northeast. Our team includes a SSOL Schroth Educator who trains other Schroth practitioners, alongside multiple therapists certified at the SSOL P1, SSOL P2 Advanced, BSPTS-1, BSPTS-2, and SEAS-2 levels.
We treat:
Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
Adult and degenerative scoliosis
Pre and post scoliosis fusion surgery rehabilitation
Kyphosis and postural concerns
Chronic low back pain
SI joint pain
Postural correction across age groups
The Schroth Method and BSPTS approaches are evidence-based, three-dimensional, and built around the unique curve pattern of each spine. Programs are individualized, and progress is measured at every reassessment.
Pelvic Health Physical Therapy
Pelvic floor dysfunction crosses every life stage. Our pelvic health clinicians hold Herman & Wallace pelvic floor certifications and treat conditions across the full continuum of pelvic health.
We treat:
Urinary incontinence (stress, urge, and mixed)
Pelvic organ prolapse
Pelvic floor weakness and dysfunction
Pelvic pain syndromes
Painful intercourse
Bowel and constipation issues related to pelvic floor
Pre and post gynecologic surgery recovery
Perimenopause and menopause-related pelvic floor changes
Evaluations include internal and external assessment as clinically appropriate, with full client consent at every step.
Prenatal and Postpartum Physical Therapy
Pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period place specific demands on the body. Our prenatal and postpartum clinicians hold dedicated training in this area and integrate Pilates-based rehabilitation when appropriate.
We treat:
Prenatal preparation and labor positioning support
Pregnancy-related back, hip, and pelvic pain
Diastasis recti
C-section scar mobilization, with OB-GYN clearance
Postpartum recovery, including return to running and high-impact activity
Postpartum back, hip, and pelvic pain
Postpartum pelvic floor concerns
Programming is tiered to meet you at your current capacity, whether you are preparing for birth or rebuilding your foundation after.
EDS and Hypermobility Physical Therapy
Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) require a clinical approach built specifically for connective tissue differences. Our EDS-trained therapists understand the specific demands of hypermobile bodies, and our programming is tiered to meet you at your current capacity.
We treat:
Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS)
Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD)
Chronic joint pain associated with hypermobility
Joint instability and recurrent subluxation
Fatigue and post-exertional symptom management
POTS-related movement intolerance, in coordination with your medical team
Programs progress as your nervous system and tissues adapt, with conservative pain management strategies built in from day one.
Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Orthopedic physical therapy at PhysioElements is built for clients whose history is not straightforward. The injury that never fully resolved. The surgery that left function 80 percent restored. The recurring pain that has outlasted multiple rounds of standard care.
Our care is led by a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) credentialed through the American Physical Therapy Association. We begin with a whole kinetic chain assessment to identify the actual driver of your symptoms, then build a return-to-function plan around your specific goals.
We treat:
Post-surgical histories with incomplete recovery, including joint replacements, ligament repairs, and fracture sequelae
Long-standing tendinopathies (rotator cuff, Achilles, patellar, tennis and golfer's elbow)
Recurrent or chronic joint pain
Sports injuries with complicated or layered presentations
Work-related musculoskeletal pain that has not responded to standard care
Return-to-sport programming for athletes recovering from complex injuries
Most clients arriving in our orthopedic care have already been somewhere else. Our role is to identify what was missed and rebuild from there.
What a Session Looks Like
Every session is 55 minutes, one-on-one, with a licensed Physical Therapist from our team. Our clinicians hold doctoral and master's-level credentials, and each carries advanced certifications in their specialty area. No assistants. No aides. Just you and your clinician for the full visit.
Your initial evaluation is unhurried. We take a full history, assess movement, identify the driver, and outline a plan. Subsequent sessions are built around progressive, measurable work toward the activities and roles that matter to you.
This format is intentional. Insurance-driven practices schedule clients in 15 to 30 minute overlapping windows because that is what reimbursement allows. PhysioElements operates outside that model so the care can match the clinical complexity of the people we treat. Most clients reach their goals in fewer total visits than they expected, because each session does more work.
